Believing is Seeing

"Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." John 20:29b When a truth comes at you from different directions, multiple times, you should probably pay attention. This thought is what I've been mulling over the last few days. Too often I get stuck looking at what's right in front of me. Each stressful life event tends to derail my focus on the amazing faithfulness of God. No matter how He has shown Himself in the past, I still seem to have a hard time believing He's "got" this current crisis. Being forced to stop and "Be Still" all alone has made me do some soul searching. I've been asked how I can stay positive even in the face of what seems devastating. It's definitely a process. We all know that phenomenon where once you buy a car you start seeing it everywhere. Well, I believe the same thing holds true in our spiritual walk. Whatever we focus on, we will see. That sounds simple enough, but it's really not. Are you looking for reasons to be happy, healthy, and whole? Or are you looking for reasons to be depressed, anxious and sad? I promise whatever you're looking for, you WILL find it. I challenge you to look for positivity. Look for ways God is blessing and has blessed you. Look for the good in others. Look for the good within yourself. Then share that with others. Believe it and you'll see it.
