God is in Control

During this difficult time, it is definitely easy to get caught up in the day-to-day concerns surrounding us. With all the media hype that we are exposed to almost minute by minute, we have to devote time in our daily life to step away. We have to remember to breathe and know God is in control. It can be extremely difficult not to worry, but Jesus tells us...  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (John 14:27)

Since practicing social distancing, our family has had the opportunity to spend more time together. We’ve been able to work/play in the yard, ride bikes, play games, and enjoy extra moments of laughter at the silliness of our girls.

Even though our girls cannot play with their friends, they are enjoying Facetime! They have loved being able to share with their friends even though they cannot physically be with them. This has definitely helped them to pass the time.

It is very unfortunate that our community has had two very big life changing experiences within a short period of time, but I continue to be reminded of the good that we see in the world…. All of the people who put their lives on the line for us every day in the midst of this pandemic. We have to remember how blessed we are to have those people on the front lines helping us through this difficult time.

From this experience, I continue to believe that God is in control. I KNOW he is in control! We must lean on him and allow him to do his work.
